    Frozen frissonery

Ice is nice. Okay, if you’re me, it’s more than nice.

    It’s paradise.

Ice and snow, I love them so. And my shivery love-feelings for those frozennesses are very much tied to their transitory nature because I am very much a woman attracted to what is fleeting and mutable, to the bittersweet bite of what flees from me that one time did me seek, so to speak.

as very very much as i dislike being cold, that’s how much i love THE cold. even as my appreciation (spawned, no doubt, by my ever-advancing age) of summer has grown, it hasn’t taken anything away from my love of winter and all the white grey silver drab sparkling wonderfulness of it. even as i type this, our little garden state is battening down for its second major snow of the week. how much do i love that? SO MUCH. (someday, we will stay at that ice hotel they build every year in whereverthehell it is. and i will be so cold, and so happy.)
